I am glad to see everyone is doing good. I hope you guys can get the vacancies filled up and be competitive again.

I did manage to get my tower up and running again. My brother-in-law found out there was a firmware issue with my Crucial M4 SSD. But sadly I removed all of my watercooling and am no longer OC any of the hardware. It just isn't worth the risk for me.

This week I will be trying out the extra 9800GT I have laying around to see how it handles SolidWorks. If it does ok with the workload, I will probably be pulling my 580 and adding it to my parts list for my scratch build I showed you guys a few months back. Sometime this week I should have an updated rendering of the scratch build. I decided to go with a radiator less design and use the copper/aluminum fins and copper hardline tubing to create a radiator effect. Now to get sponsors on board so I don't have to spend so much $$$.

Hey guys, I would like to formally introduce myself. My name is Julian, I am a 24 year old inspiring custom computer builder, or as I like to call myself, a rigger

I was contacted by WonderMutt about 3 days ago regarding the open cat2 position on team Full Auto. I was shocked at first because I have been a member here for such a short amount of time. I then became very excited, as reality set in however, I grew to become a little hesitant. The reason being, I just recently started folding again, and I wasn't sure if I could devote that much of my time to the cause. I didn't want to disappoint anybody or hurt the team's chances you know? After some deliberation I said, "why the hell not"!!! I guess you could say that being part of a 'bigger picture' is what convinced me to take the plunge.

The rig I am using to fold for the TC is my everyday driver. I have 4 other computers in house also (including my girls laptop), 3 of witch are used for f@h periodically. My main comp (one with the gtx460) will be down for a couple of hours within the next day or two. Reason being, I purchased 8 more gigs of ram!!! G.Skill Ripjaws @ 1600MHz (will oc to 1900MHz) for the low low price of $45 to my door step. I will try to keep the down time as short as possible but I would like to get them configured properly for my setup, before I continue f@h for the team. I would love a more powerful rig for myself in the future and maybe I could then retire my main comp (her name is Cooter Masler btw) to the folding fields, but that's wishful thinking. Essentially my rigs comprised of parts that I didn't use for clients, except the case, maindboard and a few extras. All of my extra cash goes towards my other obsession right now, the whip. ...link to a few pics of her...

A little history...I have been folding for a few years now, building comps professionally for around 2 years (unprofessionally for at least 11 or 12 years) and have a deep passion for anything electrical or mechanical in nature. I was that kid at 6 years old who was ripping apart his Sega to see how it worked, thank goodness I could put it back together and it worked (my mother would have beat me senseless otherwise).

Anyways enough about me, thanks again WonderMutt for the opportunity, I am eternally grateful. I want everyone to now how excited I am about this! I can't wait to begin folding for Full Auto and to start leaving a bigger footprint here on OCN. The community has been great so far, I have only run into a few hecklers and couple 'my balls are bigger than yours' type guys (not bad so far). I will do my best to give 150% during the TC. If their are any questions or anything else for that matter that I can answer or help with, please don't hesitate to ask. I have a permanent OCN tab group open so I am always here.

On a side note...I buy and trade gently used hardware all the time, I would love to be notified (I'll do the same) if someone is looking for or getting rid of some hardware. Its how I make a living (besides building actual computers for clients). It's to bad I can't post any classifieds her on OCN yet, I think you need 35 rep to do so...almost there!
