Haha, well thank you for correcting me, z. I'm leaving town right after work tonight, so I'll make the corrections when I get back in town Sunday night.

EDIT: Nice job so far team, 4th place overall and some first place holdings!!! Good start. And look at that, the new guy pulls first in his category! Nice work Vidia!! Let's keep it up!!! thumb.gif

First of all, wwwwwooooohhhhhhhoooooo! Ok now that's of my chest... The reason my 460 stays so cool is because i have is surrounded by 4 fans plus its own (side and bottom 120s, cross-flow 120, and pci slot cooler). I also am using an extra Thermalright 680i sli mosfet heatspreader on the vram, I have shaved the IHS as well and replace the thermal adhesive between it and the GPU die (higest temp I've seen since my mods is 65C, super high oc / hours fo FurMark). Link to do this HIS mod in my sig under guides...

Wondermutt, I have noticed that the new Nvidia driver release (one I am using 301.42) doesn't let me overclock as high either!? I used to be able to hit 'stable' around 915 core for benching, 905 for f@h, and 905 for most gaming (875-900 for titles that use more core). My v-ram oc capabilitys are still the same tho, I am hesitant however to bring it up to the 4200 MHz (1050x4 or 2100x2) I used to have it at way back when I first got the card, because of her age now. It's definitely weird your getting lock ups, especially with such a mild oc. As I'm am sure you know, these cards can kick some serious @$$ when they are tweaked to their max. What program are you using to oc? Maybe your girls are just tired? sleepysmileyanim.gif

I was wondering when I am gong to 'officially' be added to the team btw. It still says pending over 48 hours later. frown.gif Also, I keep getting 8006's, I liked the 8019 WU's, I think they are the advanced method ones...they seemed to get me more PPD than these smaller ones. Is their any way to only get the bigger WU and rule the little guys out all together??? And why on the team stat page do some of our teams members and other teams members still have 0 as their points? Is it because they are still crunching on their WU's and just haven't submitted them yet? Why do those same people have a rank (like 1st 2nd 3rd) even tho they technically have no scored points yet???

On a lighter note... I'm very happy thus far, I know we are just barley into this months TC but, OHH YEAHHH! (in the Koolaid guy voice) Keep up the good work guys, if I have any other questions or anything I'll let you folks know for sure.
502646

btw just dropped another 8006, worth 2510 points!

EDIT ~ Just put in my new RAM, will be down for an hour or two while I tweak.

The man with the smileys. wheee.gif

The 8020 and 8019 are about as nice as you can get on a Fermi ~16.4k for my 460@880MHz. Try running advmethods and specifying big packets in the config (normal is normal (rolleyes.gif), and there is small and big to choose from) I don't know if that actually does anything useful but there is no harm in trying.

The reason some have 0 in the auto stats is most likely because they are working on WUs still (some take days to complete).

True, I have a collection of over 1000, I could make up a pack of some of the best I got, if anyone is interested in em that is.

More info about where to edit and what to edit in which config file would be great! I took a look at them myself but can't see where I would be adding or editing info. I am quite familiar with .INI style, HTML, and Visual #C editing, I have dabbled in others also, for example .NET and XML ect. Rainmeter has been my latest coding conquest. My point is I don't need a total newb break down, just a nudge in the right direction...

Thanks in advanced!
Back to folding now, RAM is all setup and running smooth as silk @1900MHz / 8-9-9-26 1T / 1.55v. Sweetness.

Soooooooo, can cat-2 fold on a 6990? that'd put out 10-16kPPD...

and if you're gonna look at it that way, could one fold on say, xfire 6950s? tee-hee.

Speaking of gently used hardware, I have around 100 (tested via a 7+ pass wipe) 36.4GB 10K hot-swap HP/Compaq branded SCSI drives that I would love to unload (at a modest profit). Any suggestions?

I'm not familiar with the GPU Tracker, so I can't give you a straight answer. But you wanna stop/pause the client and have a look in either the client or setup menu, I think there would be a box to tick for advmethods and perhaps a drop down menu for packet size.

Thanks arvidab, I did try that actually. The day before the TC kicked of this month, Wondermutt had advised me to do the same. I just got a another adv. (8019) about an hour or so ago... I guess this is as good as it gets, every 5 or so small boys I get a nice high scoring WU.

Go Team! smile.gif

Well one of my GTX 470's crapped out on me yesterday and I spent most of the night trying to fix and get everything going again. Never got the one card working so now I'm down to two cards. I think my non-SC 470 is the one that went out, possibly too much of an OC on it for too long. However now I'm running the two cards at significantly higher clocks so my PPD on the one card for TC is much higher.

Now on to my dilemma:

Option 1: Pull bad card and RMA in the hope I get another GTX 470 for my SLI setup. However being so old I don't know if EVGA will have one to replace it.

Option 2: Buy either a GTX 680 or 690 and get rid of all my 470's either sell the good ones, and the water block from the bad. Or move them to my server that folds just GPU's and sell the GPU's in it. Down side is the high cost of entry on a Kepler GPU.

Option 3: Just run my two 470's until they die as well then look at upgrading.

Opinions?

Is there something wrong with the leader board tracker?

It hasn't shown the 6901 I dropped or updated my GPU points all weekend.
