I'm also going to post a guide on how to setup v7 with a remote command server in native linux here soon. SMP performance on v7 seems to be a lot better than v6.
What are you folding on?

I'm running client v7 rite now on my rig. I'm working on a guide that will let anyone mirror my setup.

*EDIT*
This is the first time I've taken 1st place in my CAT!!!!

It's looking like that month I spent messing around with my rig and client v7 is paying off now. I do hope to have a guide together in the next few days that I can post so that anyone interested can switch over.

on your 980x?

Thanks for putting together a guide looking forward to this! Do you need to fold in Windows for this?

My 980X rig runs Win7 as it is my primary go to machine for gaming and general computing.

I also have a 2600k that runs Windows server.

My 2700k is 24/7 dedicated folder running native Ubuntu 12.04 and F@H Client v7, this is the rig that folds for the TC.

My two windows machines fold as well with v7 as well, just the windows version.

The windows server runs file shares and acts as a command server for all of my folding rigs. I can monitor everything from HFM or F@HControl on the server. I perfer v7 over v6 because I can remotely control and modify the client from my command server with out ever really touching the rig.

Most of this will make more sense when I get the guide posted. Mainly I need to sit down tonight and write it all up so I can post it. Hopefully I will have something up by tonight or early tomorrow.

What settings/version of the client are you using in v7 on native Linux?  I switched over to v7, but keep getting these crappy 8004 WUs.

Very nicely done, sir! I can't wait to see your setup and maybe give it a try myself. It is AMAZING the amount of points you are putting up with SMP WUs! Keep up the great work!

Also, I would like to give a congrats to the whole team! Not only are we in first, but we have a pretty dominating lead!! Its still early in the month, but I think this shows that we do have the potential of dominating the TC!!! Keep up the great work, team!!

Code:
client-type = bigadv
Code:
max-packet-size = large

I also bumped my core setting from -1 to 8.

Ah, gotcha, I had tried setting client-type to advanced, and max-packet-size to small, normal, and large, but still just kept getting the same WU.  I'll try your settings next.

Is "large" a flag? I thought it was "big"...

I believe you are correct Donkey1514.  This is from a thread on foldingforum:

max-packet-size       small       Configures the slot to get small WUs (~5MB)
max-packet-size       normal      Configures the slot to get normal WUs (~10MB)
max-packet-size       big         Configures the slot to get big WUs (~500MB)
