a jigsaw worked perfectly for my hole in my sonata II case. you just have to go slowly but it worked really good for me

Rough it out with a jigsaw and then file it down to the line you want. That's the way I would do it.

Dremel's will get you the best cut, and I can see where your comming from it's hard to get the parents to get you one. I didn't get one until christmas but now I finally have it and it's getting me amazing cuts that are precise and clean.


Really push to get a dremel, you won't regret it, and you'll be able to use it for all your future case mods.

It will take longer than doing a one shot deal but it will come out looking really nice and even because you can control exactly what the file takes off. You can reduce the amount of time it takes by only leaving about 1/32" of scrap between the jigsaw cut and the line you want for your window. Basically cut everything but the line and then file and sand the line off.
