Downclock problems

Thread Starter
I have oc'd my laptop using clockgen.
It is a PM 725 1.6ghz dothan cpu.
It is supposed to do the clever stepping think to save battery power so when running on battery the clock speed is 600mhz-950mhz and when plugged in it runs at 950mhz - 1.6ghz

But now that I have oc'd it when running on battery the clock speed is 1.28ghz and when plugged in it is 1.6ghz. So it seems to have lost its special stepping thing.
I want to get it running like it used to normally but now clock gen won't let me take it lower when on batt or when plugged in.

So what can I do?

If you can get into your motherboard you can resset the jumper battery thingy, then that will reset your bios to default settings.
Hope I helped
