First Forray Into AMD

Thread Starter
Hi guys,

Building a PC with a matey of mine, and I have absolutely no experience with AMD boards.

Essentially, just looking for some suggestions as to what would suit an
Athlon 64 X2 3800+ or slightly higher. Gearing the system around an equal blend of performance/budget-consciousness. Suggestions?

Will you be oc'ing a lot. If so, i recommend any dfi board. The bios options in those boards are very advanced.

If any OCing is done, it won't be extreme. No SLI required.

I would go with gigabyte, my K8NS Pro has alot of options in the bios. Look into a K8NSC (I think ) just look around in newegg. If not that one also try MSI, DFi, Asus, or Abit. (The Fatal1ty *looks* nice)
