AMD QuAD SLI? - Page 2

the 7900GX2 in SLI is quad SLI, and as long as you have 2 PCI-E slots then you can run the quad-sli.

Hey KingWilliam,

You should be able to get 2.6 out of that CPU. That will make a pretty big difference on the bottleneck.

http://www.overclock.net/amd-cpus/82...-2-6-1-4v.html

Take a look and maybe it'll help

Those wires could do with being hidden, but otherwise it looks pretty cool. The blue doesnt look tacky with the green and you look like you have plenty cooling.

sorry to steer off topic......

I have tried everything to get this CPU to make it to 2.6, but it just wont seem to run stable....it just doesn't "feel" right when I run it that high, and it even seems to run slower. I think I just have a processor that doesn't overclock well. I have increased voltage, changed timings......all the basics. 2.4 is about as hight as I can get it, I was hoping for 2.7

Each to their own. I prefer a more muted look. That system just looks garish and overdone for my taste.

Keep in mind that I am an "old dude".

i cant see quad being as successful as normal sli tbh but ive got some questions of my own so does any one know

1. if we will need a new motherboard with stupidly wider pci-e slots?
2. will it fit into current sli slots/motherboards?
3. if i have just a normal sli ready card and i went a bought 1 of the quad cards would they work togther in sli so i have "tri" sli?!?
