I remember when the first 120 hz monitor was annouced it hooked up to both dvi ports on your graphics card and they said it takes double the performance to power this monitor. I am wondering does the same rule apply for this monitor.

No. I have mine running along with a 46" Samsung LCD using a GTX295. I am able to play 3D games while having my browser open on the LCD. I can also play non-HD movies while gaming...

I am considering buying this monitor (BENQ XL2410T 120hz / 3D/ LED / 1080p), and an asus 570 VGA for the purpose of Nvidia Vision (3D stereoscopic), also nvidia shutter glasses, has anyone got experience with this system, is the 3d depth effect awesome, good, fair or bad, I would very much apriciate any comments on this, thanks a lot.

It would be very good as far as the Nvidia Vision goes on the count of the quick response time.

1 thing that could prove a problem is the fact that this monitor isn't THAT bright... Not that it's dark or anything, but there is brighter monitors than this LED. The alienware monitor is quite a bit brighter.

Never the less it would work very well. I'd probably still buy this monitor for 3d over the alienware.

Default brightness is, as a rule, far too high out of the box on every monitor on the market. "Extra brightness" is not a benefit. It's not even useful.

Erm, have you seen how dark those 3D glasses are? Taking that into account, your post makes no sense to me...

are you talking about windows and office? or games without 3d glasses?

windows: not worth it
fps: VERY worth it, more than 3d glasses in my eyes
rts: medium, makes everything more fluid but the benefit for skill&your performance is marginal...

I got mine about a month ago now.

I play comp TF2 in CEVO/ESEA and like to do LAN tournaments. Short of a CRT this is the best setup I have used and every team-mate who tried it has agreed.
