Ok, also it needs to be able to do sli and oc REALLY well. So I was thinking somthing from dfi since their genie o bios section is so user freindly and allows me to utalise many options, but that way a few months ago and I don't know what's the best now.

WOW... the fx 60 wont have a lot of room to OC... he could actually get a 4400+ and most likely do just as well with the OC!
Anyway, back to the MB.
Either the same as I have or the even more versitile & preferable "Expert" series is what DFI you are looking for.

I would not get an Expert DR, from what I've heard, its a nasty overclocker. Its rather unstable.

But the VENUS,however, is an awsome overclocker. DFI went back and fixed everything wrong with the expert DR and came out with the awsome venus.

But be warned, it has a price tag.

Not to hijack the thread but what makes the expert or venus for that matter better than say the one you have inquisitor. I am looking at that one (around119 if its the same?)and I want to know which is best for my money and may give me the extra push to squeeze out 200 more mhz out of this chip so I can hit that 2800 plus mark.

If your frind is willing to format his hardrive a few times and go nuts with the initial installation then get a dfi but if he wants a stable and reliable board from first install then get asus, msi, gigabyte.Epox are starting to make a good name for themselves.

go for the FX 60!
because its dual core as well as the 4800 and has unlocked multipliers for better overclocking
