Heh, mine segfaulted one of the WU's oh well i have some new ram for it on the way jack it from 8 to 16gbs and i'll put the 8 in this dedicated folding project that is slowly UNFOLDING! sorry i had to use a lame pun, so far, case, motherboard, PSU, and RAM are all set. I'll need an i5 2500k some sort of cheap optical drive and at least two hdd's or ssd's looking at 60gb mushkin ssd's right now cheaper than most reliable hard disks cost.

Ok after getting extremely annoyed last night here is the latest list of collected parts
Case
PSU
RAM
MB
Air Cooler (just to get it running quickly)
HDD for back up and storage,
Optical Drive for what else?
Bracket for holding two 2.5" drives in one 2.5 slot

So that leaves the CPU and the SSD's which i am working on getting a couple used ones like most of this stuff and it will be a quicker more efficient 24/7 folding machine.

crazyap7, the 124 on benpack's PC could be VCCIO too.

 

Your issue is just weird, so I hope the ram fixes it. I moved this past weekend. I was kind of excited to see you guys talking in here again.

Will keep in mind.

Well the RAM barely OCs, can't get it to 1800MHz at 1.4v QPI/VTT and 1.65v DRAM, so I put it at 1400MHz and trying to tighten timings from 9-9-9-24 to 8-8-8-22.

Hey guys. I am sorry to say that for the past two days my computer decided it would fold without a passkey. Dont know how or why but it did so its all sorted now. I am pretty bumbed as i had just gotten heatsinks for my mosfets of my care as it is running with an h60. So for the last to days i had pumped the volts to my gpu and had a farely healthy overclock of 900/2000. I am still tuning it but am going to wait til the foldathon is over as i dont want to fail a work unit during it. Sorry for the wall of text but i am pretty angry cause i was getting 19k ppd the last two days but none of it counted toward the team.redface.gif

It's ok we are going to be doing better next time around, hopefully by the end of the month we will get all our hardware issues sorted. I got one SSD for this rig that just leaves one and a CPU left to go.

Holy hell batman, Nstar Electric is incompetent, 10 minute scattered thunderstorm and the power is out for 5 hours plus or minus every-time they switch it off then back on

I've been at work on benpack's computer today, redoing the OC. I can get it rock-solid stable at 4.5GHz but anything above that gives me BSOD 124s on boot. Currently going through every PLL voltage from 1.5v-1.9.
