I have to settle for 4000Mhz with a slightly higher OC on my RAM and NB. 6901 says it's going to pay about 71K which seems okay I guess.
Like K said. Can we get a breakdown of settings and voltages?

I'll post when I get home. I'm on water. Temps haven't been an issue at all. Few posts back I mentioned 40-41 with a 23 ambient when folding.

IIRC.. vCPU = 1.525, vCPU-NB = 1.4, vDIMM = 1.740
CPU = 4000, CPU-NB = 2700, RAM = 1688 7-9-7-24-32

HT at around 1900 something can't remember.

With everything below stock, Windows just went to a black screen and rebooted... No BSOD nothing. Went up to 1.6 just to see if I could get stability and nothing. Power supply maybe?

hmm could be, what kind of PSU? black screen when idling or how long into folding?

how come vdimm at 1.740v.. seems really high.. what's your ram rated @?

might be easiest to put nb/ram back to stock settings to isolate the cpu OC for now
post #1204 of 10760
Like K said, vdimm seems high. Have you tried pushing the RAM frequency down?

Yes black screen occurs when everything is at stock. Ram is rated at 1.65 but I've got cooling on it so I'm not afraid to go high. I'm going overkill on the voltages to try to eliminate that as a variable.

PSU is an older OCZ stealth something 600W. I just had an identical PSU fail in my wifes PC and that's why I'm questioning it. I really can't be f-ed to swap a PSU right now tho.

stock clocks = black screen? hmm thats not good

too much voltage can cause instability/crashes too though

and ocz psu's are known to fail... if u have another psu laying around, try swapping it in.. just gotta keep eliminating variables

1090t under water should need <1.45v for 4ghz .. mine does 4ghz at 1.39v

Sorry, I meant everything at stock, apart from CPU, obviously.

Koven, can you cite any other examples of 1090s going that high with such low voltage? I've tried to find a 1090 like yours but it seems that they're few and far between.

hmm from what ive seen most 1090t under water (air needs more vcore) do 4ghz 1.4v-1.45v

heres a few examples.. i wouldnt consider mine golden, but probably a bit better than average.. 1.53v 4.3ghz rock solid

I'm going to try again some more tonight, but yours is the only one I trust. Since I know you fold with it, it's guaranteed stable. A lot of people claim stable when it isn't really.

What are your settings?

Keep in mind when testing other peoples' settings that not all chips are created equal.

Also, I can double post in my own thread. Neener neener.
