I'll probably post pictures of the goodie bag in a bit.

Nice! Grats! Glad to hear things are going well!

Well things would be amazing if one of the 96 CFM fans from my CoolerMaster V6 hadn't died on me, now I only have one fan on the rad, I suppose temps shouldn't be drastically affected if I go with a push pull using some of the fans I got for the PSU test.

Oh the goodie bag.

700

So I have a new CoolerMaster Silent Pro Hybrid 1050W (it's a standard size PSU, same as my current one anyways and it might even weigh a little less plus it's completely modular, mine is only semi-modular), 5 CoolerMaster Turbine Master Mach 1.2, 5 CoolerMaster Excalibur 600-2000 RPM, and a Kill-A-Watt to use to measure how much juice I'm pulling at max load with all three graphics cards overclocked and pulling juice.

On another note if I can get the temps under better control my new chip can do 4.8 GHz with 1.400v-1.450v depending on what it's doing oh and the best part is that's with the CPU PLL at 1.55v and overvoltage off! The only problem is it's running hot like 78C while folding in Linux, which makes me wonder if my last one frying was because the combination of heat and the fluctuations got to it. My old chip (seemed to) be running around that speed and temp with 1.48v and pll overvoltage on, I'm wondering if my TIM has gone bad.

I have a little bit of what CoolerMaster packages with their coolers and some masscool paste , sadly all 3 tubes of my artic silver turned into bricks (they were only 1-3 years old properly stored)

Yay! Glad to hear things are going well, despite the fan failure thumb.gif

I just got back from the computer store, 2700k and ARES 2133Mhz RAM in tow. Ended up getting the 2133MHz stock RAM, as it was only $10 more then 1600MHz xD Going to slap it all into my P67, and see what I can get from it biggrin.gif

With any luck, we'll all get some nice stable clocks, and it'll all go awesome for the Team Comp next month!

[EDIT] So... After pulling everything out, and putting it together, seems I forgot one crucial part to a water cooling system that I don't have. Mainly.... Water redface.gif. Yeah, I feel pretty..... silly. So this beautiful rig'll sit here all night, empty and wishing it could fold. I'm jumping out of town tomorrow morning, so I'll pick some up and hopefully post some results tomorrow night smile.gif

Cheers!

Yeah, it's odd though I don't know why it's running so hot, ideas? I mean I suppose it could just be the batch difference and what not, it also seems to have been produced in Costa Rica, maybe their chips always run hotter, I've never had one made anywhere but Malaysia myself.

Oddly I hooked the Kill-A-Watt up earlier and was quite surprised I wasn't pulling more juice than I was even with one graphics card in (though not really being used) I was only pulling 230 Watts max with the CPU at 4.8 and 1.435v.

Anyways, I just found out I get to keep all of the parts they shipped me even if I don't win anything else. I just need to post my results by the first of the month. I've done some figuring and they sent me about $475 give or take $25 in parts. Plus I hear there is a $500 prize, either way it's a score.

A 2500K doesn't run that hot, I do use a D14 but even my old 2500K which I fed 1.54V were always around 65C when folding, albeit with a quite low ambient.

A V6 should be a bit better than a 212 with PnP, correct? How does your airflow in your case look and how hot is your ambient?

Have had 3 2500K's and they all ran similar temps at comparable voltages/OC's.
