Guys, I just shut off the 450. My AC broke yesterday. It's going to be 95F with a heat index of 105F today. I told my landlord yesterday. The AC unit is just over a year old, but the prior tenants never replaced the filter so I'm pretty sure the condenser kept freezing up and just gave out. I replaced the filter this morning, let it sit, powered it on after about 2 hours, and it's just buzzing.

XD well I'm out for the count it seems, unless I can get Corsair to RMA mt H60 (though idk some of the fins look slightly bent) it seems the reason my cpu isn't staying as cool as it should is the cooler. I tested to make sure of course but when the stock heatsink and fan work better (granted I took the OC from 4.7 to 4.5) and dialed down the volts a little. Stock HSF got to 68C (4.5 GHZ) in Prime Blend in 30 seconds whereas H60 and paste (4.7GHz) got ~90C in 30 seconds (needless to say I shut it off real quick)

My main rig got changed from a Cosmos 2 to a Switch 810, so it'd fit somewhere other then on my desk, waiting for the perfect moment to fall on my head and end it all.... And somehow, my SSD goes nuts and gets fully corrupt. Time for a full Windows reinstall ):

[Edit] Just to clarify, the rig in question is my HFM Rig, I'll have HFM back up in about ~30 min

Cool. I wish I could figure out what the problem with my H60 is. I doubt it's the rad so I'm thinking it has something to do with the pump.

Turn your case on it's side. Hold the rad above the heatsink and shake it back and forth. Make sure the tubes are at the bottom and not the top.

I've tried holding it straight  out from the heatsink (case has been on it's side for a week) and reconfiguring the way the tubes bent but didn't think to shake it. Though I took the cable going to the pump out of the motherboard and the temperature stayed the same so I'm almost positive that's what it is even though it seemed to be making noise like it was working properly. I'll try shaking it though.

Didn't help... If only I could justify making a true water cooled kit, lol and get it here before Tuesday.

Looks like I might be able to get a H100 or H80 in store at compusa for $99 there is also a mail in rebate I found on newegg for $15 so hopefully it'd wind up around $84

Edit: too bad rebate was only for newegg.

So idea?

I used an H70 for a little bit... Until I realized that it kept the CPU only about 5c lower then stock the Stock 1366 Heatsink, I picked up a Coolermaster V8, and it actually worked better. Since then, I've used H100 / H80's exclusively- Except for folding computers. Those got full RASA RX240 kits, because they're the hardest OCd.

Anyway, as for your problem, When you shake the rad and motor section, do you hear liquid spashing around? In both H100s, and the H80, I didn't hear a thing (Just tested them today). Maybe the reason your H60 isn't working so well, is because it's lower on liquid then the norm, and for some reason, got through QC/QA?

You could try to RMA it, but if you're looking at the H100, I'll tell ya, it's definitely an exceptionally good cooler. About the only thing better then it right now, would be a full custom loop. The only thing I suggest, is that you do Push / Pull with it. I've noticed about 5c increase on my 2011 rig since I changed cases (Went from 2x push / 2x pull, to just 2x push), using 1850 RPM Gentle Typhoon fans. From what I've seen, anything over a 2k RPM fan would be overkill, because the Rad is so thin.
