Not considering really, anymore.

I talked to proteneer, and he said let the Core 17 settle in and then we'll start working on a Linux GPU core. wink.gif

My 2600k ALWAYS crashes after folding for around 9 hours!

Any idea what the problem is? It's running Ubuntu, and can do 4.4 GHz at 1.32V, but I'm running it on integrated GFX as well, so I set the VCORE to 1.33V.

Complete system is 2600k, 2 GB RAM, USB drive, 750W PSU. Temperatures don't go above 66C while folding either.

Sorry I did not see this. I am not sure what voltage differences your chips has versus mine, but I actually changed the core and volts for the IGP on mine to about half of what it will take, so multi = 30, volts 192/256. And my CPU settings are 1.3v, 45x multi. Are you running virtual or native?

I also use my IGP alongside my GTX560, this way I can fold all-out and still watch netflix HD. lol

ppd went to hell, about in half of normal because i've been picking up core 17 wu's. i didn't set it up so i'm assuming the old nvidia beta's are now regular so i can delete the flag off my client? i also run a cpu client on the same machine if that makes any difference...

The only GPU beta WUs are core 17. NV and AMD.

Would it be possible for me to switch from i7-2 to Cat3 (3570k)? My i7 rig is having temperature issues.

I would say yes, as long as TinDaDragon doesn't mind.  He hasn't seemed to be too active lately, I'm not sure if he was having issues with his 3570k, or not.

I thought we had concluded that he dropped out at the end of last month. I certainly dont want to be pushing anyone out though. Im trying to trade up to a socket 2011 setup for a variety of reasons and I still want to fold even though I may not have an i7 for a while. I saw TinDaDragon's recent absence as an opportunity.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's gone too, just wasn't 100% sure.  PM me, and your Captain about it, and we'll get it figured out.

i think we were just talking about if he was actually gone or not last month. i don't think anyone knew for sure what is going on with him.
