Well, I just had my first blown work unit. My backup drive has been dieing on me, so I moved everything over to an external (all of wich has nothing to do with my main drive where all my folding is done) and then set it to scan and fix errors while I slept. Well woke up this morning to error 0x0000029 and it cleared my old wu and gave me another. So now I have a 2684 and another couple days till I drop some more points.

Its all really odd.

On the cpu side, I beleive this is the first. Now the gpu side I think I lost a few. And upon further thought, having the cpu work on a error check while its already pushing 100% was probably not the greatest idea ive ever come up with lol.

Probably not, but what sort of PPD are you getting? It might be better to run it on -smp 7 instead of having it use all 8 cores. That's how both of my systems are running.

Yeah, I think you should be getting a bit more than that. I remember when I switched my laptop to -smp 8 for a little science, it cut 2,000ppd from its production, which is nearly half. If not, then, whatev. Not like it's difficult to switch back, lol.

Ok correction, I decided to do this the right way. I let it run through 3 steps to get a better PPD count.

21690.1 PPD on a 2684 unit @ 4.2ghz And 2 gts 250s running with smp-8

I will put the other one right here after 3 more step with smp-7
