When the system boots up it goes to a bios screen where it says "Jimicron Technology Corp. pci express to sata II host controller ROM v1.07.14
Detecting Drivers: Done :no drivers found"

Is this a problem and how can I resolve it?

I used an Intel 80GB SSD to install the Windows 7 ultimate 64bit version and has currently hooked it up to one of the SATA 6.0 Gb/s sockets and the other SATA 6.0 Gb/s to my WD Black 1TB where my games are installed.

Is this okay, or do I have to use 2 of the regular SATA 3.0 Gb/s, sokets for this purpose.

I feel that I do not get the full assured speed from the red sockets.

Please advice. Thank you in advance.

Your setup is fine. I get that message also. It's for the esata connection on the I/o panel in the back. If you don't use it there are options in the bios iirc. As for the speed issue. All these sata6/usb3 are not really ready for prime time. Iirc there controlled by a marvel controller or jmicron. Not the best options.

Thank you for the response, Oupavoc. I see, then I will get back to regular gray sockets, also I will check the bios..

I haven't tried SSD yet (I can't justify the cost per Gig factor) but I did get this board because of the SATA6G and USB3 features. I found a nice deal on a WD Black 1Tb hard drive and bought 2 of them.

For those of you wondering about how these drives scale (Good or Bad), here are my HD Tune results comparing SATA3G and SATA6G drives.

Here is my Seagate 500g SATA-2 (3G drive):

My WD Black SATA 3 (6G Single drive):

My 2 WD Black SATA 3 (6G drives in RAID0 Stripe mode):

I also tested one of my 6G drives on the SATA2 connection to see how it compared, the results were IDENTICAL to using the SATA3 connection! Yes I get RAID0 SATA2 speeds out of 1 SATA6G drive on a SATA2 connection! I don't understand why they call them 3Gb/s | 6Gb/s drives then?

I hope this answered some questions about SATA3G vs SATA6G drives. I know it did for me. Now I will probably split my 6G drives up based on this and use the 2nd drive on my P6T system.

Well I have had this board for about 2 months now. I have to give this a 5 star rating. I am by far am no expert. Just my opiniun. From what I have heard from some it could use more OC tweak abilities. But I will never learn all the abilities of this absolutley great board. The extreme cost more with the extra eye candy.

The only complaint I have is the horrable sata 6g(marvel controller) , but its not the formulas fault. Having gone C300 SSD I learned , just forget about sata 6g for now. And use sataII. It works just fine. And you arent going to in real world notice a big difference. That is if your running a single if your wanting to raid that sata6g, get a raid controller card.

Having said that I wait patiently for intel to solve the sata6g problem someday , I really want my C300 cranking higher.

I have had some problem with the onboard sound. Fixed with updated drivers and bios . But I believe (it sucks) I need to find a good card. Like maybe an asus ds or dx. Am looking at fatality pros. I just cant see spending a fortune for sound. Just kinda broke from building this new system.

Would like to earn some reps and give some here. Hope to hear some more from everyone on how there OCing are going and see some other bios setting that are working for you. Me I am just a newb cant seem to get a 4.03 stable on my 950 . But I am happy with 3.7 or even stock for that.

Any one want to share photos of there work with this board.

Here are some recent install pics (changed my power supply out for a Seasonic from the Corsair, no need for 1000w on this setup).

This is a great board.

I don't use onboard sound so I can't comment on the solution but it's been my experience that its crappy for almost all boards in general.

Wow nice rig. I am waiting on a newegg delivery bought some led's for show of course. But I need to reseat my noctua d-14 (change direction of fans). I will grab some better pic of mine then. Do you think the trouble of pulling the IOH heat sink & pipe on board is a good idea and put some good paste on?

Thanks reaper. I found this site with some interesting info.

Thanks for the pics, Rob. Finally I can mount my H70 in the back instead of on top (with the Classified board) and your pic just confirms it.
