Oh yeah! I'm on the list for the Koolance block. I liked seeing this post almost as much as I like seeing your avatar.

On another note, has anybody run THIS
with the R3F? I have some coming my way in the mail, but after ordering I saw it wasn't on the Asus approved vendor list for this board. It supports all the fancy-schmancy XMP stuff, I figure it will be okay, but anyone able to verify?

I notice that on the Rampage III Formula RAM QVL, the Corsair TR3X6G1600C8D is listed with the addition of Version 2.1. My TR3X6G1600C8D modules has version 1.7 on the sticker.

I'm going to do a return on those and buy something other than Corsair and see what happens in a couple of days, and will let you know. I'm glad the forum exists to have a place to bounce ideas off each other and hopefully this post will help others in the same situation.
My first thought honestly is your ATI drivers, which drivers are you using for your 6870?

I've tried the one on the disk (10.10), and also installed the 10.12 driver with the same result - BSODs. I did not install the Catalyst Control Center in either case, as I've been reading that many have issues with that software too.

I had a typo in my reply (should be that I have 7.1 vs 1.7). I did notice one thing odd that might be an indicator:

When I ran CPU-Z and looked in the memory tab, one of the three sticks did not register anything in the Command Rate (CR) box. The other 2 did show 2T. I'm not sure that means anything, but none the less - the Corsair RAM is on the way back and the new ones are on the way.

Thanks for posting the pic and your advice.

You are welcome.
Hope your new ram will have no issues, please post your experience with them. I wonder what your new rams are?

Does anyone get low volume when plugging headphones to jack on back of motherboard?

Edit: Nevermind, seems like its my headphones need alot more pushing than what integrated audio can do.

For 570's in SLI should there be any settings in BIOS I should be changing for more stable/increased performance with my overclock?
Hi All,

So I've got my R3F paired w/ STT 2000s and an i7 970 running at 4.06 @ 19x214 on 1.3v. She can do 4.3 w/ 1.35v, but runs hot per only have a Cooler Master 212 on it. I think 4.2 would be a sweet spot, but getting my BLCK higher returns a pretty function situation. Here's how it goes:

BLCK 215 = Prime stable, yet only in BLOPS sometimes it will hard lock, usually when changing maps.
BLCK 216 = More frequent hard locks in game
BLCK 217 and above = USB stuttering and disconnects.

The USB issue seems to be the primary problem. When booting into BLCK 220, for example, mouse/keyboard will be hanging all over the place. I've tried 1.325v on ICH & on IOH, and 1.6 on ICH PCIe to seemingly no affect. I normally use 1.2v IOH w/ 214 BLCK, so I'd think that going to 1.3v would have some level of soothing on the USB disconnects, but alas. QPI DRAM I've had steady at 1.325v and am hesitant to bump it further.

I also tried tweaking PCIe Frequency, varying from 101 to 115, but that only caused video insanity even at 101. I've tested w/ LLC in BIOS @ 50/100, and with LLC enabled/disabled on motherboard, though don't think that would affect this behavior. Any thoughts on what I might be missing, or should I be happy with 214 BLCK?
