Clear CMOS with the jumper or one of the two buttons. Probably better pull the CR2032 battery while doing so. Then try again. Also check your video setup. You can use ROG Connect with a laptop or smartphone to see what stage of POST the system is in, that should give you a clue. Also note the status LEDs according to your user manual, see if the system is in BIOS or moving to boot. That should get you started in the right direction.

I was actually tinkering around and got some small things fixed. Except on my QLED. Everything goes red and go back off except for my VGA. Which would explain why I am not getting any output to my screen.

Using ROG Connect I keep seeing everything load up, but I get a CMOS error.

Re-seat your GPU? If VGA is not detected, POST will halt. Perhaps a component swap with another GPU will eliminate a faulty card. Some guys had trouble with the PCIe slots on the R3E requiring more insertion force to fully seat the cards. I have also had motherboard trays with crappy alignment that caused trouble.

Re did it about 3 times. Going to try the other card since I got 2. If it works with the other one RMA I shall this one.

w00t! Got a boot!. Thanks. Going to try my other card one more time to see if I can find out what is up with it. thanks.

And my other card booted! Sweetness. I think I figured out what I have been doing wrong.

Wow... makes me kind of weary to be tossing voltages around now...
I am still waiting on a damned RMA from corsair, units were on back order...
I would have bought new ones, but I can't imagine my next build utilizing triple channel...

Umm forgot to plug into my PSU.... lol

Also has anyone been able to SLI AND use their wireless card?
I have my wireless hooked into the PCI slot underneath the 3rd X16 slot and that seems like there isn't any clearance at all for both.

I do have have to use PCI x16 #1+3 for SLI correct? or would I still get x16 x16 if I used 1+2?

I'll keep that in mind But I guess that's not board specific ^^

Even if it goes down to 8x on one slot, you most likely won't feel it. it's like 1-2% performance loss, or less. I'd take that over not having internet any day

Hi to all members !
Since i couldnt go MAXIMUS IV because of intel chipset problems...2 days ago i mounted my long awaited (4 years) new system on this mobo...
i mounted the optional heatsink fan.
i dont know if it was something i did wrong or the board, but ICH and IOH were crazy high....near 80°C ...I had to unmount and exchange it for new one today...

now they are both at 45°C
I replaced a corsair fan by a noctua 140mm as rear intake for h70 and that makes a big difference on radiator temperature...

I am basically a noob at ocing so i didnt touch anything yet...cpu is idling at 33°C...

system seems very stable, i am now officially happy with this product

little issues :
-Crucial SSD 128 gig on SATA 3 port doesnt show smart info or temperature in multiple hdd benchmarking programs....anybody got a clue about this ?
I dont have this problem with my 2 Tb WD caviar black also on the SATA 3 port
i guess ill have to try that drive on sata 2 ports ???

MEMORY :
[IMG][/IMG]
-how fast should my memory run ?

thx for answers
-notice the "!" at dimm 5 ???

different memory timings are normal ?

anyone notice anything suspicious ?

i ran memory test and all was fine...but i'd just like to make sure...

seems like they are not used at full potential speed maybe ?

other questions :

8 pins : connecting only one is enough ? i only got one Gpu

usb connectors : i have 2 cables labeled usb coming from the 800d front panel...but only see one spot to connect them to on the motherboard ???

- should i turn on off in bios firewire, USB 3 and on mobo the pci express slots i dont use ?

more questions soon

thanks a lot for answers
