BF2 connection problems

Thread Starter
I use a Motorola SBV4200 Voice Over IP Cable Modem that's a little over a year old. My problem is I get disconnectedon on a regular bases. I've had the cable guy out and he said my signal was fine but he only checked outside my house cause I was at work. I've thought about getting another modem. Also I've heard people running two modems together for more band. Anyone have any advice? Thanks.

Running 2 modems will not do a thing for bandwidth. I have had problems with dropping out a while ago and went through 3 different modems and still had hassles. It all came down to the phone line being of poor quality and old. Did you get a report on the inspection? Maybe your plug inside is faulty. Get some electrical cleaner and give it a spray and see if it helps. A lot of the plugs in the wall are old and have probably never been cleaned out. Give your connection a wiggle around, it might help.

good luck
