Ronin's Sugo - Page 2

I rather liked that finish :cries: ; oh well, it's why I sent it to him

Also, I realized (a day late of course) that I didn't include the harddrive racks (they make the case's feet). I'm not sure if I want to powder them, or leave as is though. My original plan was just plastidip.

Send em.

You can always dip them after they are coated.

There, I fixed it.

The parts I feel are high visibility get the extra attention.

I think Ronin want's to put the radiator here.

The clue was the modded plastic thinger here.

I think the front needs a killer looking grill trhat mounts to the rad by standoffs. Something with angled sides to tie into the little winglets on either side.

Dolled up side panel test fit for a look.

Big enough PSU there?

I happen to have some mesh already powdercoated black.

Asus ROG Poster display thinger

Inside edges of the tape indicate potential openings. Does not leave much on the rear edge.

A little cut out for the LCD display.

Not really sure if Ronin wants a rectangle or just a larger trapezoid shaped opening....following the shape already there pinches the 100mm fan.

PSU cable hole gets enlarged. Case gets powdercoated.

And now the most difficult part of the project. The color Ronin wants is supposed to match the Enzotech waterblock.

Now I can't hardly tell what color this is. I took shots with and without flash under "daylight" flourescents and under real daylight. It's a difficult color to see, let alone photograph.

Note pre-existing damage to block on corner.

Under shop light.

I think it would be easier to powdercoat the block to match the case

I'm amazed you managed to get the creases on the doors cleaned out.

How about a piece of UV reactive blue acrylic on standoffs in front of the rad? About 1" away.

you mean like a solid piece whereas the rad would intake from around it?

Hmm, IDK, it already protrudes a fair bit. I didn't want to put a ZOMFG blower on it exactly. ( I had in mind that it would still fit in its bag).

It has a bag?

I hope it's lined in mink.

Yeah I gotcha. Maybe something only a short space away and made 'o' mesh. The hex mesh might be a bit too open visually. Maybe some perforated material.

Anyway what about the opening. Is that what you had in mind for the side panel mod? How about ROG LCD? That location okay?

Could we devise a way to stuff a filter in the rad itself and simply have a easily removable hex mesh more or less bolt on to the rad itself? Possibly magnetic?

Okay, I see your point about angling it to match the side wiglet thingies (hence the standoffs). My primary concern is that it is easily removable, otherwise I never will
