gfx card question

this is kind of a noobish question and i hope it hasnt been posted already but right now i have a radeon x700pro and i was thinking of upgrading my comp in the near future and was wondering if i get an sli mobo if id have to get a nvidia gfx card? i know id have to for sli mode but until then...cause i was thinkin of swithin to nvidia eventually

even though it's kinda redundant for the time being, your ATI card will work in an SLi mobo.

no, you can use an ATI card in an SLI mobo and a Nvidia card in a crossfire mobo... but if you want to run SLI or Crossfire respectivly you would need to stick w/ all ATI or all Nvidia.

you're fine to run a single x700pro in a NF4 SLI mobo

Both ATi and nVidia based cards will work on the SLI mobo, but if you want to pair cards up for SLI, nVidia only.
