Help!!

Thread Starter
I have 2 old CPUS lying around that say "Amd Athlon" on them with huge model numbers...I'm trying to find out if there is any way if I can find out what the speeds/what model these cpus are, I used one of these awhile back and it was an XP something but I can't remember...
if anyone can help me find the model #/speeds, it would be greatly appreciated
thanks

post the numbrs on here, or put them into google. That should turn up the speeds of what they are.

from googling the steppings, I think the first one is a 2000+ and the second may be an 1800+. Do you have a motherboard to test them in?

well thats the problem...
i have a rig im building for my younger brother on the side, it's a birthday present
i've spent almost 350$ and this is what i have
the 2 cpu's i stated above
(are they both XP?)

Mobo:
Epox 8KRAI Pro

RAM:
2.5V (Random) RAM 266MHZ (In mobo manual it states that its compatible...)[

Video Card:
AGP 9550 Radeon

Power Supply:

Cheapie 400W supply 25amps (the mobo only requires 250-300w)

I put all these together and the computer starts up but nothing shows up on the monitor...i tried clearing the BIOS multiple times and I cant find any solutions...

i know it sounds to ez to be true but have to tried jus tone sitck of ram or unhooking everything and hooking it back up again. You positive the cmos has been reset like taking the battery out for and hour and then puting it back in?
