One day, when starting up windows, I opened azureus only to find that the splash screen would run through fine, the Azureus window would flash, and my screen would go black. I could see/use the mouse. Numlock was responding...nothing else, not ctrl-alt-del, not anything, would respond.

Should I reinstall over it with the latest version? I'm scared (lol) my torrents will get wiped...some were like 90% of 3-4Gb files...sigh. Anyone else have this problem? Come on, you guys use bittorrent...
EDIT: Ok, so I install utorrent. Run DslReports test...boom. Same thing happens. Ok, so windows is crashing to a black screen every now and then. I can still resize the taskbar and use the start menu, but it's always just black. I can't see what I'm doing.

Should I reinstall the video driver? Uh, I really don't know how to fix windows (lol). Man, if only linux ran games. Sigh. Any ideas?

Your torrents won't get wiped, they'll just have to be reanalyzed. You may have to reimport the torrents, but they're not gone. I'd reinstall Azureus, or use utorrent. I prefer utorrent.

Yes, µTorrent pretty much rocks. I used to be a big fan of Azureus like you, but now I prefer µTorrent. It is extremely small!

Here is the link.

http://utorrent.com/

Direct Download Link: http://utorrent.com/download/1.5/utorrent.exe

Go µTorrent! I wish they would release µTorrent for Linux platforms!

Ok. So a while ago I determined it was a java problem. Tried uninstalling the jre - same thing. Try using YourUninstaller to do it - same thing.

I know guys, I resorted to Google. And, I did it on my own! (Not like I would've expected *anyone* to know this...well...idk)

Turned out that the AA I turned on through Nvidia Settings (non-Application controlled, 2x) was jinxing the java. Read my solution here.

So, don't use the nvidia control panel to do AA...woot!

Now let me try utorrent...
