ddr 410? or decclocked memory with 265 fsb?

Well i just dont understand this method. Anyways, iam looking for help. Well honestly i got bad rams, Yes. So with this beast opty i need to declock my mem to a divider of 333mhz. So in this situation i can hit 265 fsb or more with x11 multi.

Now my question is. I dont care about benching results, i dont care about quality. All iam looking for is PERFORMANCE and speed in games ,old games.

Anyways, shud i go with 209 fsb with 1:1 ration ? would that get me more performance than declocked memory with 265fsb?

note: i cant really get this memory over 210 so i used 209.

so what should i do?
yeah yeah...

that makes no sense at all. I dono what you're running anything at, and what you're asking...

Can you put it into point form saying what you are currently running FSB, ram, and processor at...oh and divider...

Thanks.

2.6ghz with slower memory will be way faster than 2.1ghz with 1:1 memory. Leave it the way it is, and if you want to find the best ratio thats when benchmarks come in to see if tweaking it and setting things helps.

so u think 2.95ghz with declocked memory to 333mhz ration , gets me more performance in old games than using 1:1 ratio with 209fsb ?

CPU Performance is King, so getting the CPU to run as fast as it can for the given cooling will be best.

Memory performance, timings, MB speed are then to be balanced to slot into the CPU speed.

To help you achieve this goal, you do need to outline what settings are in use, Genie, BIOS etc.. this allows for other members to have a starting point to work from, otherwise it is all theoretical.

AH! I am assuming your using ocz gold El rev2.

I had that ram and it would not run 1:1 for anything. I ended up running it at a 180 or a 9/10 divider and I was able to take it up to 290 I believe.

You want to keep your voltage at around 3.0 I believe.

so are u trying to say that a declocked memory with high CPU CLOCK will not effect old games performance?

Rite now iam using

memory clock " 333mhz"
Timings 2.5-3-3-7 ( defualt 2-3-2-5)
Fsb 269
multi x11
HTT or w/e lol - x4
1.525
VID special 104
Vdimme 2.9 but it shows as 3.0 :S.

I don't think it really matters in old games...it matters in the new games...because if u can run 2 miles in 12 minutes and the other guy can too then it doesn't really tell the result, you have to run few more extra miles to see the difference. You catch the driff? I mean old games don't require much processing power and it is some how capped. When running D2 w/ a 3.0 Ghz and a 3.6 Ghz there's not much of a diffences there unless u comparing in F.E.A.R then there's a big gap.

well its not d2 its d3, and humm so now which way will get me more speed and performance:S. High cpu overclock with declocked memory ratio or ddr409 with 209fsb?
