Ther is a BIOS version that allows up to the 270 range. THere is info on that for you MB in the AMD BIOS section and there is an thread dedicated to that MB in this section too!

Cool N Quiet can drop you multiplyer to conserve power and could effect the OCing.
Have you disabled "Speed Spectrum" ... if not do so?

K i dunno if the speed in ur name is what you got out of this board..but neways

Which bios are you using, maybe revert to official 1.2 or an ocBeta Bios. Sometimes people cap with different bios'.

I'm personally thinking you need to use a divider. Just set the ram to 166mhz, that will be the divider, for now until you can determine the MAX of the board and cpu. You have to narrow down the problem.

Follow the steps in the overclocking manual here in the forum. Set the ram low. Keep the vcore at 1.6. Slowly move the mhz up 10mhz at a time starting at 200, reboot after each change. Dont change too much at once in the bios. Disable spread spectrum, cool and quiet, and crap of that sort. Keep an eye on your temps.

WHen you get to 240 start upping the mhz by 5 , reboot each time.

All i can think of for now, enzo will be more of a help. I havent had that board for a while. I forgot some of the stuff.
