Ok My new build consists of
Mobo: Asus A8n32 SLI Deluxe
Processor: 3800 x2? or 4200 x2? maybe an Opty (looking for some input and guidance here
Graphics: Nvidia 7800 gs?(suggestions here?)
Ram: 2 1 Gig 3200 400mhz ( Ones stepping is 5448 and the others is 3448) Is this a problem?
Everything else same as listed below!

Some input and guidance will be much appreciated!
thanks

You can't use a 7800GS with that setup, did you mean 7800GT? Since you are looking at dual core CPU's, an opteron 170 would be your best bet if you wanted an opteron, otherwise it all looks good.

The only reason i'm go with dual core is the multitasking ability, I do alot of picture and video editing. Is there a dual core opty?

What about the stepping with the ram will this cause me problems when overclocking??

Yes, the 165 (9x),170 (10x), 175 (11x) & 180 (12x) are X2
http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionar...icroprocessors

The 4400+ equates to the 175 w/a 11x so if you are looking between the two just get the cheeper of he two!

No Competition there, easily the 7900GT. But they are both out of stock at the moment

welp playing around on the internet i found this card at Circuit City. Is this a good price? Keep in mind i'm at college and would have to travel to pick up anything i had shipped back to my house.
