Bad performance for my rig. Need help.

I just install my new 2X1GB G.Skill PC3200 set and it works very well. But in 3dMark benchies there's no changes. I still get in the 7600' with it... don't you guys think it's a bit low? I ain't done ocing yet ; I might get this thing around 4.4GHz but IMO I should be getting better scores (I have a 7800GT oced at 495 1200)... 24 100 in 3dMark01 SE is really low...

What can I do? In the bios, ain't there something that can be done? exept cpu/memory frequency and memory timings (currently at 2.5-3-2-5) what could I change? Remove HT? Disable speed spectrum? Change PCI frequency? My bios is set to default atm so there might be something that can be done in it to increase performance no?

And what about page file? I set it to 0... is it ok?

I bumped my memory from 1GB to 2GB and now when I have the AA and anisotropic filters on the scores are a lot higher than what they were when I had that stuff enabled with the 1 gig of RAM, but without it on, I get about the same score as I did before.
also, if you're 7600 is in 3dMark06 then I think you're doing pretty good

I didnt see much change between 1gig or 2 gigs, the most increase I seen was by upping the cards performance and then the second was by upping the CPU, in 3dmark 01se stock clock on CPU, I run around the 17 - 19,000 mark at 4.0 it jumps upto 21-22,000. On 05 and 06 I only gain a couple hundred extra marks with the overclocked CPU. I never noticed a differance so I removed the extra gig of ram and kept the mushkin in.

Increasing the DRAM from 1GB to 2GB will NOT increase 3DMark05/3DMark06. Sometimes benchmarks are not the method to guage the performance of the addition of hardware/software.

In this case, if you are to utilize more than 1GB you will then see a difference. Games such as BF2, F.E.A.R., Quake4 etc will show that difference in gameplay but not nearly so in graphical benchmarking as the canned benchmarks are not as complex as a full blown entry into the game itself. The "Stuttering" in F.E.A.R. just disappears. BF2 is also smoother as the load is not swapped as it is with a 1GB system.

This is just another case where the quantified benchmark does not show the entire truth of an event, that being an addition of 1GB Dram. Those who rely on benchmark soley will lose out as the benchmark is just not "Smart" enough to guage the addition.

Ya, how do you get that high on 3D 01'? The best I get is about 19646 on '01. But you won't see a huge increase most apps jumping from 1 to 2 gigs.

No I think what you ment to say was your video card is better, if I stuck a 7800gt in mine then my score would increase by several thousand points, heck my CPU scores over 7300 by its self. And my overall 05 score is only 4470 with a 6600gt, so I dont think you PWN my system, you just have a faster GPU.
