Well i only have $100 so i want to know if i should get another gig of ram or graphix card... what will make for better gaming performance?
save up for the gfx card and get at least 6800u x800xt or better
i would go with either 7600gt 7800gt x850xt or x1800 x1900 7800gtx if you can save enough
dont jump the gun... your ram should do you fine for now but that gfx card definatly needs replacing if your going to play new games with medium+ settings and decent fps

I suggest, if you have 110 dollars to spend get a 9800 pro on these forums for 80 dollars and get a nice zalman cooler for it.

x700 is better than the 9800pro, he would be downgrading...plus he has PCI-E, 9800pro is only made for AGP

$170 you can get the x850xt BUT it's old tech...I would go with the x1800GTO or x1800XT...you can get the x1800GTO for ~$230 and unlock it to the XL, or for ~$330 you can have yourself an x1800xt which is the competitor to the 7800GTX

x1800GTO http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102013

x1800XT...actually went down to $299 today.

ROFL somebody recommended a 6800 Ultra? I hope they were joking as the card is a joke right now. Over $400 at least, not even as fast as a $160 X850 XT and uses more power, and is louder.

Your graphics card is holding you back sure in some games, but at the same time your CPU is holding you back just as much. A 2.8ghz PD (dual core doesn't help for 99% of games) doesn't cut it, especially if the game relies heavily on the CPU or is CPU bound.

You could have an X1900XTX or 7900 GTX and CS:Source would still not run very fast because of the CPU.

PentiumDs are great for multi tasking and applications, but not for gaming.
