get vmware, ubuntu 10.1x and thekraken and ur set
or get ORACLE and use my guide wink.gif
it has thekraken and samba is pre-installed, so is the FAH v6
i will make another one or use the old one and install the v7 client on it as well as thekraken

i need a few hours though tongue.gif 1st a few hours of dog training, then half an hour for v7 client with thekraken and then compressing the file
and a few hours to upload (few GB big)

I don't want choices, tell me what to do. I had VMWare running Ubuntu 10.10 before, I can do that again.

Thank you for those links, unfortunately i broke the 6.34 client again tongue.gif

When I run the .sh file, it doesn't open up the fah6 exe ... :/

Edit.

Everything is configured according to Digi's guide.

When I reboot, the config terminal window does not pop up.

If I open fah6smp.sh from the fah folder directly (run in terminal) then a terminal window "blinks" and disappears again.

EDIT2:

I tried blademaster's guide, and received the following error:
Code:
stanocn@ubuntu:~$ mkdir fahv7; cd fahv7; wget --no-check-certificate https://fah-web.stanford.edu/file-releases/beta/release/fahclient/debian-testing-64bit/v7.2/fahclient_7.2.9-64bit-release.tar.bz2; tar -jxvf *.tar.bz2; rm *.tar*; mv fahclient_7.2.9-64bit-release v7; cd v7; ./FAHClient --configure
