That block assembly is so massive!! Its stellar!
Is it really not available anywhere? Maybe ebay I guess, would be a hit or miss though for sure.

I've been looking and can't find any. If I do, I'll definately drop the links here somewhere!

Edit: Here's a good pic of the block completely installed onto a motherboard. just needs to be screwed down:

Not sure the exact thickness of the IHS, but I know that when I removed it on my 3000+ Winny, I didn't have to modify anything to get the arctic web to work. It doesn't overlap any part of the socket, just the CPU itself.

Edit: It's about .3cm thick.

Pinhead-227, Where can I get one of the Arctic Web 437 watt water blocks like you have? I know frozencpu.com used to carry the Wintsch Labs stuff, but I can't seem to find it anymore. Has the company gone out of business, or are they just under some other company's umbrella/name now?

Pinhead-227 have you got any clues as yet to control your pelt volts wise?
What block are you using, can't seem to find any that have the needed size as the one I am using doesn't cover the whole warm side of the TEC but is still doing a very good job.

Has anybody any ideas on the use of one of these??

All that is is a voltage doubler. Basically if you've only got a 12v source and you need 24v, you hook that thing up. 12v in, 24v out.

To do this, the power on both sides has to be the same. In other words, if the output is the full 30a at 24v (720 watts), than the input will be a little over 60 amps at 12 volts, for 720 watts!

Yeah cheers mate--- was just a thought thats all.
As for voltage control you got any bright ideas? I have come accross a little kit from a shop not far from me and I think I will build it and see how it goes for more control over the 24 V MW PSU from Frozen CPU.

It is only rated at 12V but hopefully I can mod it to suit a higher voltage.

The link doesn't work...

I've got some rough plans in my head, but haven't quite put them to paper yet. I've got a pretty simple idea, but will have to be very robust and will take me a while to put together. It'll probably produce a lot of it's own heat and power... But it will give you the ability to plug one end into your mobo's fan header, another plug into a 12v PSU, and the third end into your TEC. You'll then use Speedfan's fan speed services to give you the desired temps. I'll post the circuit when I get it drawn out.
