PC Air Conditioning possible?

For consideration:

Couldn't someone build a small air conditioner for the PC? I mean we're talking a 2' x 20"X 8" area so it could be very small. A PC case isn't a whole room.

You wouldn't even need it to be super cold like regular AC as most AC's crank out 34F-36F air.

It couldn't be any more expensive to produce than these water cooled solutions.

A little Refridgerant, a small blower fan and boom... Instant climate controll in a box. (Litterly). Set the thermostat for say 45-50F and your ambient temp in PC then becomes that.

Do we have a market for something like that? If you could buy one for $50, would you?

I think the main problem to overcome with this would be condensation possibilites, but this doesn't seem like a difficult problem to solve. Have a dehumidifier run until temps reach a certain level etc.

What do you all think? Or is there something like this already available?

If so, where and how much?

Just a thought...

That case is interesting, but it doesn't look as if it's got any refridgerant cooling power. (Just the Peltier cold plate)

It just looks like it filters the air. Which is a good idea too, but I'm talking real climate control. Not just fan's w/ filters. (True AC would be able to drop temps in your case very low.)

All cases should have fitered air w/ replacement filters you buy and change every month. Would eliminate all the dust inside.

After a quick search I see this has been discussed before. Interesting thought none the less.
