ehmm a little question...

Hey guys...

i have just been finnished with overclocking and i now got my opty stable at 2808.11 mhz ..

know i have i little question...

too be able to hit 2808.11 mhz i had to put the memory on the 166 devider or what i called ..

know my memory runs 187.2 mhz

and before i used the devider 166 my memory ran around. 270 mhz

my question is.. can i do something to make the memory run faster ?

Is that G.Skill Extreme ddr500? If so then you shouldn't of needed a divider. If its only ddr400 than you still be able to get it to run at 234mhz with losser timmings.
If you can't do this then keep the divider and tighten up the timmings and that to will make the momory run a little faster also.

Before you used the divider was your memory running 234mhz. and not 270mhz(I'm guessing that was a typo in your first post). if your in a 1:1 ratio(no divider) then you RAM should be running 234 mhz.
EDIT: I would take the divider back off and set timming loss like 3-4-3-8. and then see how tight you can get them with AMD64 tweaker

Why did you need to put the memory on a divider for it to work? If you have DDR500 memory, it should clock at least 250 mhz. Since you said that you're running your fsb at 234 mhz, it shouldn't be on a divider. You should be able to run your memory at 1:1 with the fsb. You'll actually be running the RAM slower than it could go so maybe you should try dropping the multi to 11.5 and then running the memory faster. 11.5 x 250 = 2875 mhz! If you spend the money on the faster memory, there's no reason not to use it at its rated potential! You may even be able to pull off running the multi at 11 and then running the memory at no less than 255 mhz for 2805 mhz.

No i think they ran around 260-270 mhz ..but at that point i had overclocked my opty around 2.7 ghz .. then it suddenly would not go higher then i put it on 166 divider and it could go higher ..

If they were running at 260-270mhz and the cpu was at 2700mhz then you must of been ussing the 10x multiple.

Here are the settings I'd try:

HTT(FSB): 250- 255
cpu multiple: 11x
memory in a 1:1 ratio(no divider)
HT: 3x (or 4x if your not going higher with FSB of 250)

I'd put the divider on 200(same as 1:1) but this way it wont change after raising the FSB to a certain level.
