RAM compatability

Thread Starter
OCZ Gold Series 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM Unbuffered DDR2 667 (PC2 5400) Dual Channel

I have a Sony VAIO RC. I have 2x512 4200 in now. I looked it up online and it says it can only hold 4 x 512...but i dont trust them. Will this RAM not work?

Thank you in advance

You Need to look at the Specs of the motherboard to see how many and what the max size of ram this Board can take in one stick.

If there are any problems the main cause will be the locked bios and it's inability to run at the OCZ's ratings possibly causing a conflict. There should be no problems running 1GB modules but I would call sony tech, maybe ask them if they have 1GB modules available for them and get your answer that way (if they think they are going to sell you something they are more cooperative)
