I would really apreciate if you gave a few more details. Unfortunately there are a bunch of XP 2400 with different fsb, different cores and revisions, and each one behaves differently. Could you post a CPUz screen of his caracteristics? Im intrested in core revision (thoroughbread a/b, barton), fsb (133, 166) and multiplier. Also what are the idle/load temps @ stock speed?

Long post... first post today

Keep temps below 50*C!
Use BIOS to raise FSB 5MHz at a time. check for stability using the 1M test on superpi- ftp://pi.super-computing.org/windows/super_pi.zip
But, I doubt that 2400+ will OC more than 4 MHz...
also, did you just recently build that computer?

They can take 55c NP!
Depending on a ton of things, you'll probably hit 22-2400MHz

I've never seen a 2400+ go past 2.15Ghz...
Oh, and you actually have 1536MB of RAM.... 1024MB + 512MB = 1536MB.

I easily pulled 2200 out of an unlocked 2200+ B core Tbred and that was 2 years ago and it's still gaming to the day!
Maybe that's 1x512, oh well he'll fill us in
