AS5 on a PS2?

Hey all,

I recently was playing Capcom vs. SNK2 this evening (awesome game) and the fan on the ps2 stopped. I didn't really think much of it because I didn't think PS2's got that hot...oh how I was wrong. The PS2 then decided to overheat and turn off. I found the issue was that the fan just got stuck on something and caused it to stop spinning, but I was wondering if anyone had tried to put AS5 on their PS2 heatsinks. When I opened up the PS2 a while back to put on a flip top cover, I noticed that the graphics and main processors are just heat sink cooled with aluminum heatsinks. Could the over heating issue on the PS2 be resolved with some AS5 and perhaps one of these?

Just a thought...but mostly, would the AS5 help to lower the temps at all in a PS2? That little fan is pushing a lot of hot air...
