Is my 3dmark05 score too low? - Page 2

The only reason I'm not still using it is that 1) I did well on my ACT, and 2) my birthday is in a couple months, and my parents didn't know what to get me, so they paid for over half of my upgrades.

OCing my Celeron made little to no difference in performace... it just over all sucked. My old XP 2400+ smoked it, even when the Celeron had a near 1GHz clockspeed advantage.

Bottom line, if you have a Celeron D proc then you will have very little bottlenecking, if you have a Celeron Northwood then you have nice sized bottleneck on your hands. If you have a Celeron Northwood then all is not lost, it just depends on what games you play. If you are willing to spend a little Money on a Celeron D you could you could see an extra 15-20 fps in many of your games.
15-20 is too much. Id say 5-10. thats only a 33 fps jump and a bit more cache.
