Help with Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe

Hi, I'm so new to AMD socket 939 because it's my first time...I have got my Venice to 2.65 Ghz and stuff. But then I had a 250 MHz memory, and I can only run it at 189 MHz at 295 MHz FSB. As for the R580 thing...3 stage? I don't even know what it is and the book doesn't even tell me what it do or what it's good for....please give me some tips for my new board. And one question is it safe to keep the motherboard (Northbridge Voltage) at 1.5v?

Hey Ken,

That ram is PC4000 DDR500MHz and should allow you to ramp them up. At 189MHz on a 295FSB means that you are running it at 266 and should be able to set it for 333.

1.5 should not be an issue but only go that high if you need it for stability.

I don't know how to set it to 333 for this mobo, it's weird. In the RAM section it says the litmit, 100, 133, 188, 200, 216, (forgot this one), and 250. I chosed the 133 one. As for the other value it doesn't seem to be stable. And if u meant 333 as of 166 or something then i tried it too, but doesn't work. I set the VDIMM voltage to auto as for I have no memory overclocking experience and I'm afraid that I would hurt my memory. Because they don't monitor the RAM temperature.
