he probably means the 'pentium rating' of an AMD processor. e.g my one is 4330 instead of the stock 3200

but seriously that was a pretty pointless and nonsensical post

i think thats what he means too...

i also suggest you should set everything from stock and try again...

you should be able to break 5ghz with that board..especially with the watercooling, but you should play around with everything a bit more because temps arnt the problem right?

Too tell you the truth, your post caused me to lose all respect that I would have had for you. Now I just see your name in a post, and go to the next one.

You can't change you multiplier unless you have an ES model, or the 955EE.

Well after countless hours of researchit seems I'm not the only having this problem. A couple people on extremeoverclocking and xtremesystems have had the same issue.

Unfortunately no one to date (that I could find) has found a solution. Only thing that seems common is that dual cores seem to struggle more. My last ditch effort is going to be do the vdroop mod. That's the absolutely last thing I can attribute it too.

Ironic part is I while I was searching I found some interesting cpu-z screen shots from, I think, a German forum. With a 950 they were showing 4.93ghz with a 17x and running 1.6vcore......

Makes me wonder.....I can post that high, but not Windows stable, maybe I should just jack the vcore and see if it can be done.

You just want to be carefull. At Voltages like that without extreme cooling you can blow an internal fuse. That effectively kills your processor. I have brought my 920 to 1.6V just to run superpi 1M at 4.95Ghz, but it never could finish. You never want to run 1.6V for an long period of time.
