Which is the Better Buy?

Thread Starter
I just bought the P4 3.0E cpu and like everyone else I am having problems with the temp. I am asking around to find out the best buy for a air cooling device for this processor. I have searched newegg and found these two so far.

-This one is my pick so far-

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835183111

Both are very close in price and both will cool the processor reasonably well. I just want to know which one I will get the better buy.

A Big Typhoon will cool it a lot better than either of those for only a few dollars more.

I think the COOLER MASTER Hyper 6+ will do a better job compared to that other one.

Best overall CPU cooler for a Pentium CPU, the Tuniq Tower 120 wihch I happen to have an my CPU loaded does only 45c (42-43c most of the time) @ 4.33ghz.

Can you swap out the fan that comes with the Tuniq with a different one?
Yes you can, just as long as it is a 120x120x25.

Also, if you replace it, the little fan speed controller will not work as the Tuniq's own comes pre-wired for that fan speed controller to work with the fan.

I don't have that Fan Controller hooked up to the fan, it blows at full 2000rpms, I'm used to the noise I guess, but I also put my headphones on a listen to music while I'm on the computer.

I thought about getting a more powerfull fan but I won't do it anymore, the 33c idle is cool enough and the most temps were 45c but for like 3-5 secs, then back down to 43c for the most part, that's impressive I think, compared to my Zalman CNPS7700-cu.
