I like how some of my posts are being deleted without a reason...

I am sure one will pop up, and it will be some mixed random reason, that takes the TOS out of context.

2 posts, plus an edit. There's no problem expressing opinions, but there is a problem when you take it to the extremes you did. If you really don't see why posts comparing Microsoft and Bill Gates to the Nazi regime and its leaders don't belong here, especially in a news thread, then that's a whole different problem that I'd like as little to do with as possible.

looks like we will be switching to Macintosh or Linux systems in the future if this thing happens reason Windows is so insecure is due to its high market share hence why its targeted by hackers way to be secure is to use operating system with less market share of course that doesn't mean you are fool proof since you can still be infected its just less likly to happen

What do you mean? Godwin's Law mandates that Nazis be brought up at some point.

Market share doesn't make something insecure. The security of an OS depends on how vulnerable to effective attacks it is, not how often it gets attacked. Windows gets attacked because it has a high market share and because its default setup makes it the perfect target (and even more so the setup that many people run by disabling UAC).

Eh... okay? Not sure how that justifies his manner of posting (if you saw it).

This is a great idea. But enforcing and controlling it would be near impossible.

Wow. 2 posts and a edit.

I have horrible memory, like a goldfish =)

I really see nothing wrong with comparing one being to another, or a company to a party...

Unless people were offended, which was not my intent in the slightest.

Although I see the error, so I understand.

But you must realize that that comparison was perfectly just.

One of the key points of communism or facism is the control over information, I was simply putting what I was explaining into context.

Although political conversation is against the rules.

Alright that clears that up...

In all honestly, I disagree with it, but that's beside the point and I'm not even gonna get into it. Nothing good ever comes from discussing that kind of comparison.

Basically to inform the user you are quoting...

I was comparing how deciding which PC can access the internet, and which cannot, to the Nazi regime.

It wasn't so much godwin's law, as it was just obvious in similarity.

So, in doing so... I apparently either offended a user(s), or broke the rules.

So the moderator edited and deleted a few of my posts in order to fix that up.

I was not penalized or warned, just a simple ghost edit & delete.

Although I really should not of drawn attention to it... due to the nature of the comments in regard to what exactly was edited and deleted, would eventually encourage the conversation to work it's way towards the subject.

Like I said, it was simple just moderation, nothing to panic about *has gun put to back of head*

OOH wait, I also did some more drastic things, but it was only to show what I meant....

So let's all get back on topic.... This is about Microsoft trying to control exactly what can and cannot access the internet, thus controlling information.

Quote:
Whoever controls the information, controls the world.
Let's not get offtopic...

I personally think this is too much power for any company, government, or man to control.

I am not sure if the post was edited and this taken out, but there is so many uses for microsoft if this was implemented.

What Will Happen:
--
A external source will be looking through all or most of your personal files.
It will be the only way to connect using Windows.
Information there for will be controlled, and up to Microsoft or another external source who exactly is allowed online.
