need help building a gaming rig with a low budget...

hey guys new to posting but been reading for a while now. i have finally been able to save up some money for a new gaming pc, unfortunately my budget is low (under $1200)

i played around with some setups on ibuypower and cyberpower, as well on newegg. what i came up with was something along these lines:

i7 875k
geforce GTX 460/465 1gb (or possibly an HD 5850 but might be pushing my budget)
4gb DDR3 ram

as far as the rest goes, id like your input. what type of PSU should i get for this setup? what about mobo? etc.

any help/tips would be great guys, im hoping i can make a purchase within the next few days

You can do a lot with $1200. A couple of questions...

1. Do you need an OS?
2. Do you need a Keyboard/Mouse?
3. Do you need a Monitor? If not, then what resolution is your current monitor?

Answer those and the fine poeple of OCN will help you build a good PC.
One thing I can say already is that you don't need an 875K. the i5 750 is great for gameing.

no to all 3. however, i do plan on buying a 24" monitor soon afterward. mine right now is 14x9

is the i5 750 overclockable? id love to run games coming out now on high settings like CoD black ops for example.

All intels are overclockable on the right motherboard. Almost done with the build. Do you need a case/hard drive?
