What 7800GS should I buy?

Now I have AMD 3200+ XP OCed..I want a card that will Boost me a ton from this 5500 FX.. But im Not sure if bottlenecking this card with the 3200+ Is better need getting a 6800 AGP card, Or something like that. Now I want to Know what 7800GS should I buy...Whats better the memory or Mhz. Like theres some cards that Have 512mbs but low Mhzs and I dont know whats better. ( Im not pointing at the 7800GS when I say this but in general.)

Regardless if you get the 6800 or the 7800GS you will still bottleneck both those cards with that CPU. You can overclock to lesson the bottleneck. Genrally you want to go with a card that has a faster core and mem speeds over the size of onboard Ram.

Find the cheapest one with the best warranty. I personally prefer evga because they are cheap and have a lifetime warranty. They also have a step up program if you decide later you want a better card, or you want to go pcie.

So Im wondering..Are you saying this card will be Crap If I use it in my system..Will It run the same as the 6800 but just bottlenecked WAY more? I dont understand.

It won't be crap. It will bottleneck, but it will be like less than a 5% decrease. Dont go for a different card just because it will bottleneck more. That is like buying a Cavalier instead of a Porsche because the Porsche will be bottlenecked more by the speed limit.

Now why would you guys go and say that? How many tests have we seem with XP's and 7800GS's?

It would work fine, I've seen plenty of XP's and x850's, 6800ULTRA's going and they run good.

I'd say grab ahold of a 7800GS Superclocked edition from EVGA, They run VERY nice clock speeds, and have a pretty good bundle with them.

Humvee, You took the words from my mouth.

Great minds think alike, eh? I totally agree, go for a nice, juicy 7800GS Superclocked Ed.

Shouldn't make much difference at all. Find yourself some benchies if you really aren't believing us. The 7800GS will do just fine in that comp of yours.

So much for the very nice clock speeds on the EVGA superclock 7800gs.
I just installed the one I had delivered today and its only showing 375mhz and 1.2ghz.
I am awaiting a reply from EVGA on why it is not overclocked at all!!
