Google Chrome Slow Startup: Resolving Proxy

Thread Starter
I have had this problem with Google Chrome 7 that has been getting on my nerves lately. It takes literally 10 seconds for the initial startup of Google Chrome. Apparently it is trying to "resolve the proxy", but my other browsers startup perfectly fine without delay. Anyone know how to fix this?
