2.6 as high as it goes?

Thread Starter
Hey all. Just here to seek some advice. I currently have a X2 4200 on an Asus A8N Sli, with 1 gig patriot ram (3-5-5-8), 2 evga 7800gt graphics cards, 600 watt power supply (forgot brand) and Koolance water cooling tower, for cpu and chipset. I currently have it overclocked at 2.6 (236 x 11) on a 1:2 mem divider , with a fsb of 235. I cant seem to get my HT to go any higher. I cant increase the voltage anymore, (wont go past 1.45). I have tried using a higher divider for the memory but that doesnt work. I have tried adjusting the mem voltage , to no avail. Even tried opening up the latency on the ram but still nothing. Does anyone have any tips that i might try to increase my HT speed? Anything would be helpfull. Btw not worried about temp. running Toast cpu tester times 2 (one for each core) and memtest for 48 hours my temp never rose above 35 degrees, yet used all systems resourses. I thought i read somewhere that someone had their 4200 up to 2.8, anyone seen this or anything higher? Or whats the fastest you have seen a 4200 OC'ed?

*edit* Base testing to find my maximums, my ht went to 270. Ram, (i believe) went to 240. highest clocked speed with everything else at minimum was like 2.9

you'd get higher if you'd run higher Vcore....not sure if your mobo wont let you go past 1.45 or if that's a choice thing.....your temps are all good so more Vcore wont hurt.
