Question about Crucial memory overclock

Thread Starter
I'm trying to overclock my crucial memory. (just took it off auto dram voltage lol). It's a dual 512 stick set, pc 5300 with 5-5-5-14 (I think) timings, and I have it at 770 mhz right now at 1.9v. I'm also running memtest right now. I just wanted to know, what is the highest voltage that I can get to safely and shouldn't exceed?

Edit: It was at 770, not 750... no errors after 1000% on two instances of memtest... bumping it up to 780 mhz

On that Crucial, I would keep it at around 2.1 volts or below. As long as you have some decent airflow over the ram you should be just fine. Heck, you could probably even run 2.2 for 24/7 usage, but I would stay at 2.1 or lower to be on the safe side.

5-5-5-14 is horrible. Try 4-4-4-8 @ 2.1v and don't be affraid.

AFAIK, Crucial's DDR2 is no that great for overclocking but that's what I've heard, maybe you can prove them wrong?

Anyhow, 4-4-4-8 or 4-4-4-12 is the common for DDR2 @ any speed.

I do either 4-4-4-4 @ 960mhz or 4-4-4-8 @ 1030mhz on a 2.1v or 2.3v.

I agree with both Lando95 and Nasgul. Set the dram to 2.1V and 4-4-4-8 or 4-4-4-10.
