Yay! New video card soon!

Thread Starter
So my dad works construction (Aluminum Pool enclosures etc, [we live in florida], and now that summer is rolling closer, he's making insane money.

He just got paid 2200$ this morning, and put another 2 Grand in the bank yesterday, and it's still coming. He owes me a little bit of money, so he's going to buy me a video card. w00t.

I'm choosing the HIS 1600PRO (AGP) for my last card in this rig before Vista and DX10. I'm soooo happy, and it's going to be a big improvement over my 9600SE, I hope. I'm also going to get a new HSF, and some AS5 for it. Ohhh boy, I'm excited. Well, just though you guys should know haha

Also, would my computer be good for another year or so if I OC my Northwood back up to 3Ghz, coupled with the rest of my system?

ehh around 140 max and yeah, I looked at all those, but the 7 series is way out of my price range, and an X850 is close to 300 in AGP, the X800GTO and the 6800GS are as well, and I don't really need that kind of performance.

This thing has a nice big cooler so I can do some moderate overclocking, and be able to play WoW maxed out with no FPS chugging

you might want to consider 6600gt. it ight have less image quality but it has mroe power that a x1600pro

and if you are getting the x1600 get th 256mb and not the 512 becasue with 128bit mem bus adn gddr2 it will not utilize
