Motherboard ASUS P5LP-LE help

Thread Starter
ok my system is a HP m7250n i also know all this:
Motherboard manufacturer's name: ASUS P5LP-LE
HP/Compaq name: Lithium-UL8E
when i'm trying to use programs like CPUCOOL and SpeedFan it wants things like PLL and other stuff I dont understand how to find. Its the A7N..... numbers i dont get.. Also the PLL but i guess the only way to get that is to actually look at the board and find it.

also when i use clockgen i can get it up to 3.0 GHz with out it locking up. when when i restart the changes dont save. I really confused about this whole thing

if your board isnt supported theres little chance that you will get far. I know it sucks but your best investment for great overclocking is a unlocked motherboard.

this seems to be the one to get that has all the overclocking features

Ouch turn off the caps lock!! LOL

He is using ClockGen, you are using Speedfan. Either he got lucky with a guess at a close chipset or ClockGen supports that board.

The reason it doesn't save any changes is because it's a software OC. It doesn't change the BIOS, so when the computer is shut down, and you turn it back on, it re-starts as the BIOS state.....you have to restart the ClockGen software and adjust it again.
