NOS--- NOS--- Are you saying that I CAN put a Socket 479 in a 478?

How come this Pentium M has the 479 pins? I thought the pentium m's only had 478?CLICK HERE

Also, can I get some sort of converter or adapter like this??

your laptop is a skt 479 all pentium mobiles are socket 479. I dunno why places list it as skt 478. If you get a new Pentium M chip it should go right in they dont solder them in i changed the chip in my dell last year.

Dothans are soldered to the MB. At least on my gateway. Open it up and have a look.
