2. Gah .. I benched the card on 3dmark01 .. my score was 5081 .. something wrong?

3. I get the same ingame FPS OC'ing it to 600/1100, as when I underclock it to 300/600 .. :\\?

Ouch!! my old RADEON 9000pro scored like 7800...

agp settings look good. I would think that, as far as power goes, it either works or it doesn't, but...

It probably would be a good idea to get a new psu anyway (230W can't be trusted with that kind of hardware). My suggestion would be the Thermaltake silent purepower 430 for around US $45. I'm using one with my 6600GT and it works flawlessly.

BTW: what chipset does your mobo have? Is there a newer bios available?

Why do you ppl even think of wasting your money on intel... that's the whole reason half the rigs in the world suck. That's a lot of lousy PCs.

Just jking...

Just out of curiosity, what is your 3dmark01 score, TrueForm, since you also have a 6600gt and an intel system?

I'm 99% sure something's wrong, 'cause my 9000pro made a 7800 on a XP thoroughbred @ 1.65GHz in a looser ECS mobo. The same card made around a 4200 on a PIII oc'd to 950MHz. There must be something wrong.

My AGP is only 4x compatible.

.. From what i've come to see, I am almost 100% sure it is the lack of power my psu is generating. Sometimes my wireless mouse / keyboard quit if my graphics card is operating heavy load. I unplugged the molex connectors to my DVD burner, and CD drive, possibly allowing more power to go directly to my graphcis card. My PSU is currently 120watts under the 350w card recommendation. When i'm running something that isn't a huge burden on the graphics card (such as CS, or the ATI Tool 3D cube) the fps are awesome, and much better than my old card. But as soon as I start running something like the HL2 engine, or WoW I get dramatic frame reductions probably because the power isn't there to process it. I'm rambling and really unsure of exactly what is happening, but I'm quite sure it is the extreme lack of power from my psu.

First of all i think your PSU is to small and you need to get a better one. Does your MB suport 8X AGp slot or is it only 4X?? in one of your other post you showed your mb was set at 4x that would tell you why your gt6600 isnt working to its full potential.

Yeah, my motherboard is only 4x compatible. I'm pretty sure it's my teeny power supply though. ... Good thing my new one is already shipped.

That could be another issue. If the PSU works alright, and you get the same results, i think you're bottlenecking on the AGP bus.

It sounds like it's the psu. From what he said happens a couple posts up, and the fact that his psu is like 230W, it's probably a sure bet.

TB, upgrade yr psu and see what happens.
