Is A Dead Pixel worth $80?

Thread Starter
Samsung SyncMaster P2370HD is the model I'm thinking of getting.
It'll be used as a school monitor/TV in my bedroom. My main monitor is a SyncMaster 305T+ 30" display.

The P2370HD costs $279.99 after sales and the open box one has a dead pixel and it costs $200.99. I'm leaning more towards the one with the dead pixel because 1.I'd use that computer occasionally and at night for watching TV (built in tv tuner) from a bit of a distance.

I would have to add a no, but I am picky. It falls upon preference.

It all depends on where that pixel is. If it's in the center, you might notice it. If it's closer to the side, I wouldn't worry much. If it was the latter, then I'd say it's worth it.

Is it a dead pixel or a stuck pixel? If it's black it's dead, if it's any other color it's only stuck and is pretty easy to fix.
